Hello! I’m Bryce.

I’m a first-year community college student studying Mechanical Engineering in Southern California and preparing to transfer to a four-year university.

I’m interested in robotics and mechatronics, vehicle systems, manufacturing, public transit, and the physical side of automation.

I work primarily in CAD with Onshape and Fusion 360, and I have experience taking designs through fabrication rather than stopping at the model.

I’ve worked with 3D printing, CNC machining, and CAM for robotics and personal projects. Fusion 360 is still my main CAM tool.

Outside of engineering, I spend a lot of time on photography, travel, and roller coasters. I’ve ridden around 70 roller coasters in Japan, Korea, and across the US.

Projects

Robotics has been the main throughline of my engineering work. I’ve participated heavily in the FIRST Robotics Competition across several teams.

The bulk of my high-school FRC work was on FRC 691, where I joined as a freshman and became one of the main students doing mechanical design through the end of the 2025 season.

For the 2025 season I also worked with FRC 980 in the San Fernando Valley, helping its CAD team.

As a senior, I founded FRC 11096 and served as team captain during its rookie year. I led mechanical design, fabrication, and electrical work, and I’m continuing to stay involved with FRC after graduating.

Across those teams, I’ve designed, iterated on, and helped build mechanisms for roughly 10 competition robots.

I’m now expanding from FRC into collegiate engineering projects, with particular interest in vehicle systems, robotics, manufacturing, and embedded/mechatronic work.

Employment

In 2026 I interned with LA Metro, which gave me direct exposure to a large public transportation agency and reinforced my interest in transit systems and infrastructure.

Tech Stack

Software

I use Arc as my main browser. A growing amount of my development work now happens through AI coding agents and automation tools alongside a conventional editor.

For engineering work, I use Onshape and Fusion 360 heavily, including Fusion 360 CAM for CNC work. I also spend a lot of time building small tools, automations, and web utilities around my own workflows.

Hardware

My main computer is a MacBook Air M3 with 16 GB of memory. I also use an 11-inch iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and a Windows desktop with an RTX 2070 Super.

3D printing has been an interest of mine since 2021. I started with a Creality Ender 3 and later moved to a FlashForge Adventurer 5M. Most of my printing has been practical: robotics parts, fixtures, household parts, and experiments with materials including nylon, polycarbonate, and carbon-fiber composites.

Photography

I’ve been taking photos since I was about 10 and started getting more serious around 2023. A lot of the learning came from shooting roller coasters and travel, where fast motion, awkward lighting, and bad vantage points force you to get technically competent quickly.
